Vision Keepers International has worked in the Philippine Islands for over thirty years. We are fortunate and honored to minister to countless children, their families, churches and government officials over the years.
We realized the vision in the early 1980s when our organization was one of the first ministries to evangelize and minister in open air crusades on the Island of Mindanao, which was at that time highly populated area of Muslims. Reaching crowds of over ten-thousand a night, we knew that God had opened a door for us. Traveling and ministering to unreached areas where know one at that time wanted to go, we began ministering and opening our hearts to Muslims, Catholic and Christians alike. We knew that God had called us to work with the people of the Philippine Islands.
We built churches in Mindanao and the Island of Leyte, sponsor adoption programs, pastor leadership conferences, church planting and church development in Manila. Working with pastors and leaders to build established churches, we committed to helping children and to build youth ministry outreach programs. By nurturing and developing children and youth ministries we knew that the need for Sunday School feeding programs were imperative to minister to families that were suffering from malnutrition.
VKI is privileged to offer humanitarian aid programs that bring hope, healing and love to the Philippines. Our call and vision is to continue Sunday School feeding programs that will touch the lives of hundreds of children on the Island of Leyte. The compassion for children, youth and women in the Philippines has been built upon relationships that are long-lasting, while working with trusted and anointed ministry pastors and their families.
When you partner with VKI you are reaching people first hand! We are accountable and believe strongly that we must work together with other ministries, non-profit organizations and individuals that believe in helping and ministering to children. Sunday School feeding program have become the cornerstone on the Island of Leyte. By providing sound teaching and doctrine from pastors and Christian leaders, we are establishing a strong Bible based foundation to reach children that are desperately in need. Whether is it by providing food, clothing, mosquito nets (to prevent dengue fever), educational leadership, the VKI Sunday School feeding programs offer direct contact with families of the children who want to know more about Jesus Christ and his love. We then offer an invitation to be involved in our local church where these families can grow in Gods word as we continue to minister to their families. VKI provides the basic needs of life for desperate children and women.
Your prayers, donations, your love and compassion impact lives around the world where there are millions of children who are poor and at risk of hunger. Every forty seconds, a child is born into poverty in the United States alone. All over the world, children are sentenced to live on the streets. Today in the Philippine Islands, many children are struggling just to survive, eat and to find safe shelter. A child should never go without a home let alone food. We all know that. It’s a burden on all of our hearts; one that we do not like to think about. The mission to help in some way seems at times to be overwhelming. If we work together we will make a difference to children in need. Be assured that you are partnering with a long-standing trusted missions organization that is respected throughout not only the Philippines and Pakistan but in the United States.
Know that your donation goes directly to children and women that are hurting. Help transform lives, by helping one child at a time, one person at a time. We can make a difference in the lives of those who are in need with your generous support.
